Yearly MLK celebration in Natick goes virtual

The holiday honoring the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has taken on a new significance, provided the recent situations in our nation’s capital.

Natick will mark Jan. 18 with its 16th yearly celebration to honor King’s life and legacy. There will be a dwell pre-recorded system from 10-11 a.m., streamed on the net and by means of Natick Pegasus. The plan will function student performances and reflections MLK Working day Resourceful Contest winners from the center and substantial schools interfaith clergy representatives and exclusive visitors.

The keynote speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Gregory Groover, pastor of the Historic Charles Avenue AME Church in Roxbury.

From 11 a.m.-midday, there will be unique MLK activities for all ages presented by neighborhood associates by using Zoom links.
