AirTrip International Signs Multi-Year Agreement to Use Sabre GDS – Hotel Magazine

Japanese online travel agency Airtrip International has signed a multi-year agreement with software and technology company, Sabre, to use its global distribution system (GDS).

Sabre’s GDS includes its Bargain Finder Max API, which utilises the company’s shopping algorithm and rich content to deliver optimal itinerary offers in just seconds. This allows AirTrip to create customised booking experiences for travellers by tailoring search results to show the most relevant fares based on itinerary preferences.

The move is part of AirTrip International’s strategy to increase the growth of its outbound business using advanced technology.

President and Representative Director of AirTrip International, Yusuke Shibata, stated that this partnership was important to the company.

“Our mission at AirTrip is to use advanced products and technologies with our unique position in the Japanese market to deliver a best-in-class travel experience for our customers”.

Vice President of Sabre Travel Solutions, Brett Thorstad, stated that travel agencies that want to gain a competitive edge and recover from the impact of Covid-19 need to invest in technology solutions.

AirTrip was able to become the preferred choice of travel agency in Japan’s highly-competitive market by focusing on customer needs. It connects with more than 350 airlines worldwide and deploys more than 20,000 reservation and ticketing terminals.
