New York to London Flights Offered at $322 as Americans Travel Again

The urge to travel after years of lockdowns is being celebrated with super cheap flights between New York and London.

Norse Atlantic Airways, the budget long-haul carrier, is offering return trips from London Gatwick to New York JFK starting at £255 ($322), including taxes. The first flight is scheduled for Aug. 12.

Norse Atlantic, which operates a fleet of 15

Boeing

(ticker: BA) 787 Dreamliner aircraft, will offer a daily service, with other U.S. destinations to be announced soon, the airline said.

The news comes as travel bounces back after two years of the Covid-19 pandemic, with consumers keen to resume their vacation plans.

More than three million Americans are expected to take to the skies over the Memorial Day weekend, according to the American Automobile Association estimates.

SouthWest Airlines

(LUV) and

JetBlue Airways

(JBLU) both said on Thursday that they expected their revenues in the second quarter to be higher than the companies had forecast, citing accelerating bookings for summer travel.
