Carnival Cruise Line kicked off a four-city Agentpalooza bus tour on Wednesday, making its first stop in Philadelphia.
This is Carnival’s first Agentpalooza tour since 2018. The travel partner appreciation events launched in 2017 as simulated musical bus tours with travel advisors as “rock stars.”
Carnival president Christine Duffy was on hand to thank more than 600 travel advisors for their support. Philadelphia is Duffy’s hometown.
“As a Philadelphia local, it was so special to be here to help kick off this year’s Agentpalooza bus tour that we’ve been so eager to bring back to our travel advisor community,” Duffy said. “Our travel advisor partners have been such an incredible support system over the past two years, so this was our way of saying thank you and getting the chance to celebrate our successes and the future together.”
Carnival senior vice president of global sales and trade marketing Adolfo Perez and Carnival cruise director Christian De La Rosa were also at the outdoor party at Penn’s Landing. Carnival held activities inspired by onboard experiences. Advisors got one-on-one time with Carnival’s sales team.
Travel advisors could sign the Agentpalooza bus, and several longtime partners participated in the cutting of a birthday cake to celebrate Carnival’s 50th anniversary. The event also raised funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
“We knew the return of Agentpalooza was going to be fun, but the kickoff birthday party was so much more than we could’ve imagined,” said Perez.
The bus tour will also visit Baltimore; Norfolk, Va.; and Charlotte, N.C. The tour ends in Charlotte on June 4.
