Abroad arrivals exceed a single million in March

• In March 2022, 1,100,700 travellers arrived in Ireland on overseas routes (up 40% on February 2022)
• In the exact thirty day period, 1,055,400 passengers departed from Ireland on overseas routes (up 34% on February 2022)
• Overseas journey was considerably larger in March 2022 than in March 2021, when 61,400 passengers arrived, and 66,500 passengers departed
• Abroad travel in March 2022 was also bigger than March 2020, when 635,000 arrived, and 602,100 travellers departed

The Central Studies Business (CSO) has these days (29 April 2022) unveiled Air and Sea Vacation Studies March 2022.

Commenting on the launch, Gregg Patrick, Statistician, explained: “The Air and Sea Vacation Studies for March 2022 exhibit an increase in overseas journey as opposed with the preceding month.
